Senior 5 CBC Report card System in Uganda
The National Curriculum Development Centre of Uganda –NCDC has rolled out a new Senior 5 CBC (Competence Based curriculum) for A level schools in Uganda.  
 
AkademikIT has therefore upgraded its School Management system to meet the NCDC grading standard.
 
Features of the New Senior 5 report Cards included dropping the traditional subject grades which was ranging from A to F to make them similar to the New O level Competence Based Curriculum grading of A to E.

Example: A= 85-100, B= 70-84, C=60-65, D= 40-59, E= 0-39
 
The New Senior 5 report Card is not using Subject grade Points of 6, 5,4,3,2,1,0. The total grade points have also been replaced with Results as it is the case with the New O level report cards.

Example: Results 1, Results 2 and Results 3.

Learner Competences
The New Senior 5 Curriculum also introduces competence assessments in every subject paper. Teachers are therefore expected to assess the competence of each child using the following criteria;

A – Exceptional; – Demonstrates extraordinary competency by applying knowledge and skills innovatively and creatively in real-life situations.
B – Outstanding; – Demonstrates a high level of competency by effectively applying acquired knowledge and skills in real-life situations.
C – Satisfactory; – Demonstrates an adequate level of competency in applying knowledge and skills in real-life situations.
D – Basic; – Demonstrates a minimum level of competency in applying knowledge and skills in real-life situations.
E – Elementary; – Demonstrates below the basic level of competency in applying knowledge and skills in real-life situations.
